The intake manifold is the transportation device that delivers air and fuel to the cylinder head and a key component for performance.
The flow efficiency of the intake manifold determines the total amount of air and fuel that reaches the cylinder head, which significantly affects the power production of the engine. The intake port shape, length and taper angle, along with the plenum volume and air flow distribution of the manifold are also important elements for the delivery of optimum performance.
Proper modifications to the intake manifold can substantially improve intake airflow and improve engine performance.
